Abstract:
A buffer stopper having two-step characteristics is provided. The buffer stopper comprises a ring-form elastic body 11 configured in a size that can be installed in an installation space, and an elastic body restraining member 21 that is placed so as to cover part of the outer peripheral portion of the elastic body 11 and that minimizes expansion of the elastic body 11. The elastic body 11 is provided between two members that are relatively displaced in the axial direction, and the elastic body has a first elastic body 12 that is axially compressed by the two members and to expand radially outward when the gap between the two members is reduced, and a second elastic body 13 configured to protrude outward from the outer peripheral surface of the first elastic body 12 at one end side of the first elastic body 12 in the axial direction. The elastic body restraining member 21 is configured so as to in cross section have an L shape covering the end surface on one end side of the elastic body 11 and the outer peripheral surface of the second elastic body 13, and the second elastic body 13 has, in an end surface on the side opposite from the one end side in the axial direction, a recess 14 that is recessed inward from the end surface.
