Abstract:
Provided is a bearing support structure in which a shaft member which rotates about a center axis is rotatably supported by a rolling bearing divided into two parts in a circumferential direction. The shaft member has a fitting section over which the rolling bearing is fitted. The shape of a cross-section of the fitting section, the cross-section being perpendicular to the center axis, is not a true circle. The rolling bearing is provided with: an inner ring which is divided into two parts in the circumferential direction, is fitted over the fitting section, and has an inner raceway surface on the outer periphery thereof; an outer ring which is divided into two parts in the circumferential direction, is affixed radially outside the inner ring, and has an outer raceway surface which is located on the inner periphery thereof which is coaxial with the inner raceway surface; and a plurality of rolling bodies arranged in a rollable manner between the inner raceway surface and the outer raceway surface.
