Disclosed are a battery (10) and an electric device (1). The battery (10) comprises a case (30) and a cell array (20); the case (30) is provided with an accommodating cavity (34), and the cell array (20) is accommodated in the accommodating cavity (34); the cell array (20) is formed by arranging M*N battery cells (21) in M rows and N columns, wherein M ≥ 1, N ≥ 1, and M and N are both positive integers. Each column of battery cells (21) in the cell array (20) is arranged in a first direction, and the first direction is the length direction of the battery (10) or a traveling direction of the electric device (1) comprising the battery (10); each row of battery cells (21) in the cell array (20) is arranged in a second direction, and the second direction intersects with the first direction and a vertical plane. The maximum size of the cell array (20) in the second direction is D1, and the maximum size of the accommodating cavity (34) in the second direction is D2, wherein D1/D2∈[0.9, 1], so that the proportion of the cell array (20) in the case (30) is larger, and a gap between the cell array (20) and the case (30) is reduced, thereby improving the space utilization rate of the battery (10), and improving the energy density of the battery (10).
