Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus for improving an ultrasound compounding image by using a phase and frequency control technique. According to the present invention, provided is the apparatus for improving an ultrasound compounding image, comprising: an ultrasound transducer which includes a piezoelectric element including a plurality of division elements, and which transmits an ultrasound signal generated by the piezoelectric element to a target and then receives a reflected signal; a signal generator for generating an input signal and applying same to each of the division elements; a phase controller which adjusts the phase of the input signal applied to each of the division elements so as to control so that input signals of the same phase or mixed phases are applied to the piezoelectric element; a frequency controller for adjusting the frequency of the input signal applied to each of the division elements; a signal processor which analyzes reflected signals based on the input signals so as to acquire an ultrasound image on the basis of the sound impedance difference of the target; and an image combination unit for acquiring a compounding ultrasound image by combining a plurality of ultrasound images acquired from different frames.
