Abstract:
The present disclosure is directed to providing an internal combustion engine comprising a configuration in which are formed air intake flow path parts for causing an air intake path, which is continuous with a combustion chamber and is faced by a fuel injection valve, to generate a tumble flow, wherein the configuration inhibits intaken air, which is directed toward an inner wall surface that partitions and forms a confluence part downstream of the air intake flow path parts, from stagnating in the air intake path. An air intake structure S of an internal combustion engine 10 according to one embodiment comprises: a partition part 70 that divides an air intake path 60d into a plurality of air intake flow path parts 72, 74; a tumble control valve 75; and a guide part 100 that is provided so as to reverse intaken air toward at least one of the plurality of air intake flow path parts 72, 74 at a confluence part 72f where the plurality of air intake flow path parts 72, 74 come together.
