To provide a pattern coating method capable of simply forming a three-dimensional pattern with one kind of paint.

In the pattern coating method, a paint containing a brilliant material is applied to a base material and a part of the base material is heated by a heating plate 2 having a pattern shape to provide temperature irregularity. Since the heated part of the coating film of the paint is rapidly cured as compared with a non-heated part, the heated part is formed as the pattern in the coating film. Since the heated part and the non-heated part are different in the reflection degree of the brilliant material, the formed pattern can be seen in a three-dimensionally raised state.
