Abstract:
A wire rope of the present invention has a double twisted structure obtained by twisting: a core strand (2) obtained by twisting a plurality of wires (2a), (2b), (2c), (2d); and a plurality of sheath strands (3) each obtained by twisting a plurality of wires (3a), (3b). The plurality of sheath strands (3) are twisted with the core strand (2) by the Lang's lay. A fastening rate of the wire rope is from 3.5 to 9.5%. This can provide a wire rope superior in fatigue resistance and wear resistance, with reduced twist habit.
