Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle wheel bearing device that, while achieving a reduction in the overall weight of a hub ring, facilitates the insertion of a tool between a pilot section of the hub ring, and a wheel and a brake rotor, thereby preventing dirt, rust, etc., from developing on the hub ring and thus enabling the service life of the hub ring to be prolonged. A hub ring (3) includes a wheel pilot section (3g) that extends further toward an outboard side than a wheel mounting flange (3b), and that guides the radially-inner surface of a wheel. The wheel pilot section (3g) has formed, in an outer circumferential surface thereof, a recess (3h) having a depth of 1-3 mm.
