Abstract:
Provided are a shock absorber and bracket by which mounting rigidity is improved. A cylindrical section according to the present invention is molded by press-forming a first hole and a second hole into a sheet member (flat plate) and bending the sheet member, in which an overlap section is formed between the first hole in the second hole, into a cylindrical shape. This technique improves formability over previous brackets, which lack overlap sections, and can improve the precision (in particular the cylindricity) of the cylindrical section. As a result, the mounting rigidity of the shock absorber can be improved with respect to the horizontal force in the front-back direction of the vehicle when the shock absorber is mounted on a knuckle by using the bracket.
