Abstract:
Disclosed in the present application are a superimposed light occlusion rendering method and apparatus, and a related product, which can be applied to scenarios such as digital humans, virtual humans, games, virtual reality and extended reality. By acquiring direction information of superimposed light in an environment where a virtual object is located, and data of a plurality of vertexes on a model, and using, vertex by vertex, the direction information of the superimposed light to decode a coding result of vertex occlusion information stored in vertex data, decoded vertex occlusion information of each vertex can be obtained. Superimposed light occlusion rendering data of the virtual object is obtained according to the decoded vertex occlusion information and light intensity information of the superimposed light. It is not necessary to read textures frame by frame, thereby reducing the performance consumption of a computing device, and the method is applicable to a mobile device. The rendering scheme is based on vertexes of a model and is not affected by a change in the motion direction of a virtual object. The important effect of the direction of superimposed light is taken into consideration, thereby displaying a more natural and physically accurate superimposed light occlusion effect, and further improving the visual experience of a user.
