Abstract:
A shift device comprising: a shift lever; a magnet that moves, in response to operation of the shift lever in a first operational direction, in a trajectory that is substantially parallel to the X-axis direction along a first virtual plane parallel to the XY-plane and moves, in response to operation of the shift lever in a second operational direction, in a trajectory that is substantially parallel to the X-axis direction along a second virtual plane different from the first virtual plane; a magnetic sensor which outputs space coordinate data that changes depending on the position of the magnet; and a determination circuit which determines an operational position of the shift lever on the basis of the space coordinate data, wherein the magnetic sensor is disposed so as to be tilted with respect to the X-axis direction and the Y-axis direction as seen in a front view in the Z-axis direction.
