The present application provides a separator manufacturing apparatus, comprising a single-screw machine and an extrusion die. The single-screw machine is used for conveying and extruding an active substance mixture. An extrusion die is connected to the discharge end of the single-screw machine and is used for extruding an active substance separator. A screw of the single-screw machine comprises a compression segment, the axial length of the compression segment is L1, the axial length of the screw is L, and the following relational expression is satisfied: 0.45≤L1/L≤0.65. The technical solution of the present application can effectively ensure the structural compactness of the active substance mixture and effectively ensure the continuous uniformity of the feeding amount of the single-screw machine to the extrusion die, thereby effectively ensuring the structural uniformity and the structural continuity of an extruded separator, and effectively improving the production quality of a battery.
