A lightweight electronic control system for high-reliability and high-safety use, relating to the field of rail transit, comprising a central control module (1) and a transmission control module (2). The transmission control module (2) comprises: input boards (22) configured to receive multi-path sampling signals, convert same into first serial signals, and then send the first serial signals to a control board (21); output boards (23) configured to convert second serial signals into parallel signals upon the receipt of the second serial signals and then transmit the parallel signals to a corresponding controlled module; and the control board (21) configured to obtain sampling data according to the first serial signals and send the sampling data to the central control module (1), and further configured to generate and send the second serial signals according to a received control instruction. The central control module (1) is configured to output control instructions, and is further configured to receive sampling data and perform a corresponding operation according to the sampling data. The system can increase the number of controllable transmission channels and increase the signal density.
