An ink composition for an oil-based ballpoint pen, said composition containing a colorant, an organic solvent, and a 12-hydroxy fatty acid, said ink composition being characterized in that the ink viscosity thereof at 20ºC and a shear rate of 200 sec-1 is 300 mPa∙s or more.
