Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to an information processing device and method that enable 3D modeling to be performed more easily. According to the present disclosure: first three-dimensional shape information is generated on the basis of a first captured image generated by means of first imaging in which a 3D object is imaged; the first three-dimensional shape information is used to evaluate an accuracy of second three-dimensional shape information that can be generated using a second captured image generated by second imaging performed hitherto; a scoring result is generated; and on the basis of the scoring result, either the second imaging is controlled, or guidance information for the second imaging is generated and output of the guidance information is controlled. The present disclosure is applicable, for example, to information processing devices, imaging devices, imaging communication devices, electronic appliances, information processing methods and programs, and information processing systems.
