Abstract:
An X-ray tube according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a positive electrode having a target layer that emits X-rays in response to the incidence of an electron beam; and a negative electrode in which three electron guns are arranged in parallel, each having a filament for emitting electrons, a stowage groove in which the filament is stowed, and a focusing groove for causing the electrons emitted from the filament to be focused as an electron beam at the target layer. The three electron guns are a central electron gun facing the positive electrode, and two side electron guns located on opposite sides of the central electron gun. In the central electron gun, the following match: a filament central axis running along the longitudinal direction at the center of the width direction of the filament; and a stowage groove central axis running along the longitudinal direction at the center of the width direction of the stowage groove match. The central electron gun is configured so that a focusing groove central axis running along the longitudinal direction at the center of the width direction of the focusing groove is offset from the filament central axis.
