Abstract:
This work machine comprises a first pump and a second pump that are driven by an engine, a hydraulic actuator that is driven by hydraulic oil supplied from the first pump, a control valve that controls the flow of hydraulic oil supplied to the hydraulic actuator, an electromagnetic valve that generates a pilot pressure for reducing the pressure of the second pump and operating the control valve, a control device that controls the electromagnetic valve, an engine operation unit capable of operation for starting the engine, and a rotation speed sensor that detects the rotation speed of the engine. If it is determined that the engine is in a halt state on the basis of the detection result from the rotation speed sensor, and a current application condition is established including that the engine operation unit is subjected to ON operation in a state in which start operation is not performed by the engine operation unit, then the control device applies a drive current to the electromagnetic valve to drive the electromagnetic valve.
