Abstract:
Provided is a work machine which, within the limit of not harming dynamic stability, can perform work using the impact generated when a cylinder driving a work front collides with a stroke-end. According to the present invention, a drive control device 34 has: a stroke-end distance calculation and evaluation unit 34c which determines whether it is possible for cylinders 20A, 21A to collide with a stroke end; a dynamic center of gravity prediction unit 34d which, when the stroke-end distance calculation and evaluation unit determines that it is possible for the cylinders to collide with the stroke end, predicts the trajectory of the dynamic center of gravity of a hydraulic shovel 1 from a time when a deceleration operation of the cylinder starts to a time when the cylinder stops; and an allowable speed changing unit 34f which changes the allowable speed of the cylinder according to the minimum distance from the dynamic center of gravity trajectory predicted by the dynamic center of gravity prediction unit 34 to a tipping line of the hydraulic shovel.
