Abstract:
This work assistance system comprises: front work equipment provided to a hydraulic excavator; an angle sensor for detecting orientation information about the front work equipment; and a control device for performing work assistance to the hydraulic excavator on the basis of preset and stored work area, the work assistance system further comprising a camera capable of capturing images of the exterior of the hydraulic excavator at a work site and a touch display capable of specifying any position in an image captured by the camera. The control device: extracts an image area occupied by the hydraulic excavator from the image captured by the camera; transforms the position in the image specified on the touch display to coordinate values of real space coordinates on the basis of the number of pixels in the longitudinal direction of the hydraulic excavator in the extracted image area, the orientation information about the hydraulic excavator, and the actual dimensions of the hydraulic excavator; and sets the work area so as to set the position of the transformed coordinate values to be an endpoint. This configuration enables the intended work area to be set intuitively and easily.
