Abstract:
Disclosed is a low-cost, flexible wire spiral reinforced rubber hose that does not cause bursting due to a pinhole, the wire spiral reinforced rubber hose comprising a hose body 10 including reinforcement layers 14, 16, 18, 20 formed by spirally winding wire bundles 31, 32, each including a plurality of metal wires 30 aligned adjacent to each other. The wire density of the metal wires 30 in the reinforcement layers 14, 16, 18, 20 is set at not less than 40% and not greater than 80%, and the wire bundle distance between adjacent wire bundles 31, 32 is set at not greater than 1 mm so as to achieve an appropriate wire density that provides moderate pressure resistance rather than high pressure resistance.
