The present invention provides: a whole plant cultivation device in which a liquid phase root and a gas phase root can be separately generated in a root system without using soil; and a method for cultivating the whole plant. More specifically, a whole plant is cultivated by using the whole plant cultivation device including: a container composed of a structure exhibiting capillary force; and a water basin for storing a liquid.
