Abstract:
Provided is a wheel loader that can favorably balance a traction force with a digging-up force of a cargo work device when automatically controlling the operation of the cargo work device during excavation. In a wheel loader 1 that has mounted thereon a semi-automatic excavation mode function in which a controller 5, 5A, 5B automatically controls a traveling drive device 3 and a cargo work device 2 for the purpose of assisting operation by an operator, the semi-automatic excavation mode includes a first excavation mode in which the controller 5, 5A, 5B does not limit the rotation speed of an engine 30 and a second excavation mode in which the controller 5, 5A, 5B limits the rotation speed of the engine 30 such that the traction force by the traveling drive device 3 becomes smaller than that in the first excavation mode. The controller 5, 5A, 5B switches the first excavation mode and the second excavation mode on the basis of first to third mode selection switches 61-63 or of the discharge pressure Pa of an oil hydraulic pump 33 immediately prior to start of excavation work.
