Abstract:
Provided is a wheel bearing device that facilitates processing for spline-fitting a wheel bearing and a constant-velocity universal coupling to each other. In a wheel bearing device 1, a through-hole 3e of a hub wheel 3 includes a first hole 31 in which a spline-fittable recess 3h is formed, and a second hole 32 that has a diameter greater than or equal to that of the first hole 31. A protrusion 24 that is spline-fittable in the recess 3h is formed on the outer peripheral surface of a stem portion 23 of the constant-velocity universal coupling 20. The protrusion 24 includes: a first protrusion 25 that spline-fits in the recess 3h in a generally closely contacted state; and a second protrusion 26 that is positioned on the outer side than the first protrusion 25 and is spline-fittable in the recess 3h with a gap m therebetween in the radial direction or the circumferential direction, or both the radial direction and the circumferential direction.
