Abstract:
Provided is a wheel bearing device that can reduce vibration transmitted to the interior of a cabin by suppressing road noise while maintaining the rigidity of the wheel bearing device. A wheel bearing device of the present invention is configured such that an outer member (5) is connected to a knuckle (7) via a fixed bolt (13), wherein: a vibration-damping member (11) comprising a vibration-damping alloy is interposed at the area of contact between a vehicle body attachment flange (5b) of the outer member (5) and the knuckle (7); the vibration-damping member (11) is equipped with a circular plate section (11a) that is in contact with the inner-side lateral surface (12) of the vehicle body attachment flange (5b) and a cylindrical section (11b) that extends in the axial direction from the inner edge of this circular plate section (11a) and fits together with a cylindrical pilot section (5c) of the outer member (5); and a through-hole (11c) into which a securing bolt (13) is inserted, is punched through in the circular plate section (11a).
