Abstract:
The present invention provides: a wet spray material for firing furnaces, the wet spray material being capable of shortening the time required for a firing furnace to be in an operable state after the installation of the wet spray material on an installation object surface of the firing surface; and a method for installing this wet spray material for firing furnaces. According to the present invention, a silica sol and water are added to and kneaded with a refractory starting material that contains 55% by mass to 90% by mass of particles having a particle diameter of less than 1 mm, the kneaded material is pressure fed to a nozzle 2, a slurry or aqueous solution of at least one substance selected from among calcium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, calcium chloride, potassium chloride, magnesium chloride, sodium chloride, calcium sulfate, potassium sulfate, sodium sulfate, calcium nitrate, magnesium nitrate, sodium nitrate and potassium nitrate is added to the kneaded material in front of the nozzle 2 or in the nozzle 2, and the resulting material is sprayed onto an installation object surface S.
