Abstract:
Provided are a wet friction plate and a wet multi-plate clutch device that are capable of suppressing reduction in the surface area of a friction material and capable of reducing drag torque. The wet multi-plate clutch device 100 comprises a wet friction plate 110 at a position facing a clutch plate 103 rotated and driven by the rotational drive force of an engine. The wet friction plate 110 comprises a plurality of friction materials 112 provided upon a flat annular core metal 111, via an oil groove 115. The friction materials 112 have: a first fine groove 113 that opens to the inner circumferential edge 112a of the friction materials 112 and extends to the outer circumferential edge 112b side; and a second fine groove 114 that opens to the outer circumferential edge 112b of the friction materials 112 and extends to the inner circumferential edge 112a side. The first fine groove 113 and the second fine groove 114 are formed having a groove width of 0.1–0.8 mm and have lap sections 113c, 114c that overlap in the circumferential direction at the same position in the radial direction of the core metal.
