Abstract:
This water softening device comprises: a water softening unit which softens raw water by means of an ion exchange resin; a recovery water supply unit which supplies, to the ion exchange resin, recovery water which recovers the ion exchange resin; a water softening flow path which is set when the raw water is softened, and which guides the raw water from a water inlet port to a water outlet port via the water softening unit; a recovery flow path which is set when the ion exchange resin is recovered, and which guides the recovery water of the recovery water supply unit to the softening unit; a plurality of switching valves which switch the settings of the water softening flow path and the recovery flow path; an output water detection unit which detects water output from the water outlet port to the outside; and a control unit which controls at least the opening/closing of the switching valves, wherein in the case where the recovery flow path has been set, the control unit controls the switching valves to switch from the recovery flow path to the water softening flow path when the water output detection unit detects the water output to the outside.
