Abstract:
A water softening device comprising: a water softening tank in which raw water is softened with a weakly acidic cation-exchange resin; a pH adjustment tank; an electrolysis tank in which acid electrolysis water is generated; a conductivity measurement unit S1 that measures the conductivity of the raw water; a conductivity measurement unit S2 that measures the conductivity of the soft water obtained by passing through the water softening tank and the pH adjustment tank; a passed water amount detection unit that detects the cumulative amount of raw water passed through the water softening tank in a predetermined period; and a control unit that controls the passing of acid electrolysis water to the water softening tank. The control unit calculates the regeneration time for the weakly acidic cation-exchange resin on the basis of the amount of hard component adsorbed to the weakly acidic cation-exchange resin calculated from the difference between the conductivity of the raw water and the conductivity of the soft water and the cumulative amount of passing raw water, and executes a process of regenerating the weakly acidic cation-exchange resin by passing acid electrolysis water to the water softening tank during the calculated regeneration time.
