Abstract:
A water softener (1) comprises a soft water tank, a neutralization tank, a bypass channel (53) that sends raw water as untreated water to a downstream side of the neutralization tank without passing the raw water through the soft water tank and the neutralization tank, a mixing section (55) that mixes untreated water sent from the bypass channel (53) and neutralized soft water sent from the neutralization tank to generate mixed water, a flow rate adjustment part (56) that adjusts the amount of the untreated water and/or neutralized soft water supplied to the mixing section (55), and a control unit (15) that controls the ratio at which untreated water and neutralized soft water are mixed by the flow rate adjustment part (56). The control unit (15) has: a mixing ratio determination unit (58) that determines the mixing ratio of untreated water and neutralized soft water on the basis of instruction information pertaining to a regeneration time, which is the time during which a regeneration process can be carried out, and the degree of softening of the mixed water; and a flow rate control unit (59) that adjusts the amount supplied by the flow rate adjustment part (56) so that the mixing ratio determined by the mixing ratio determination unit (58) is reached.
