Abstract:
A water softener apparatus 10 comprises a water softening tank 12 for rendering raw water containing hardening ingredients into soft water by means of weakly-acidic cation exchange resin, an electrolyzing tank 14 for generating first acidic electrolyzed water, which is for regenerating the weakly-acidic cation exchange resin, and alkaline electrolyzed water, a treating tank 16 for mixing the alkaline electrolyzed water with second acidic electrolyzed water, which is obtained by passing the first acidic electrolyzed water through the water softening tank 12 so as to regenerate the weakly-acidic cation exchange resin in a regeneration treatment for regenerating the weakly-acidic cation exchange resin and which contains the hardening ingredients, to thereby produce treated water through the reaction between the hardening ingredients and the alkaline electrolyzed water and through dilution, and an electrical conductivity adjusting tank 18 for increasing the electrical conductivity of the water introduced from the treating tank 16.
