Abstract:
A water acting piston-type sealing device for a side suction port of a trailing suction hopper dredger, comprising a slider (11) body, a water pressure chamber (21), a sealing ring (31), a gland, a return spring, a water inlet pipe (15), and a throttle pipe (23); the water pressure chamber (21) is provided on the side of the slider (11) body facing a hull (17); the water pressure chamber (21) is connected to a high-pressure flush pipe (14) by means of the water inlet pipe (15); the sealing ring (31) is located in the water pressure chamber (21), and a protrusion at the top of the sealing ring (31) faces the hull (17); and an elastic ring (32) is fixed on the protrusion, the gland is fixed to a slider (11) and presses two sides of the protrusion of the sealing ring (31), and the return spring is located between the inner side of the gland and the sealing ring (31). The water pressure in the high-pressure flush pipe (14) is used as the power to drive the sealing ring (31) to move without additional power; the water pressure chamber (21) and the seal ring (31) are used to replace an air bag, and the service life of the sealing device is prolonged; and the polymer elastic ring (32) at the top of the sealing ring (31) can be used for effectively reducing friction and can adapt to the relative movement between the slider (11) and a suction port, and a good seal is maintained.
