Abstract:
[Problem] To provide: a wheel nut which is capable of being easily tightened with predetermined torque and which does not damage a wheel; and a tightener for a wheel nut. [Solution] Provided is a washer-equipped wheel nut provided with a washer which has a washer upper surface located outside the outer periphery of the wheel nut in a plan view and which is rotatable about the same axis as the wheel nut. The upper surface has formed therein recesses open to the upper surface side and outer peripheral side of the washer. The nut box of a tightener is fitted to the wheel nut, the brace body of a reaction box is engaged with the recesses in the washer, and the nut box and the reaction box are rotated in the opposite directions by a direct current electric motor to tighten the wheel nut, the direct current motor having preset output torque. The brace body is engaged with the recesses and is in an affixed state, and consequently the rotation of the nut box is stopped when the force of tightening the wheel nut reaches predetermined torque. As a result, the wheel nut is tightened with predetermined torque.
