Title:
WALKING CANE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/149584
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Most conventional canes provide support near the feet during a stop, and the cane must be moved first when moving. A cane that provides a high degree of load remission is also difficult to use for a long time. Furthermore, the conventional cane relies on pressing force from an arm for forward propulsive force. Provided is a cane for overcoming these three problems simultaneously. In the present invention, by providing an upright part and an inclined part to a walking cane, the elasticity possessed by the material of the walking cane can be effectively utilized. The distance L1 between the point on the inclined part that contacts the ground surface and the point at which an extension line of the upright part intersects with the ground surface is set to one foot length, and the distance L2 between the position where the upright part is held in a hand and a connection point A of the upright part with the inclined part is set to one foot length. Through this configuration, the walking cane can be used in a state in which little burden is placed on the body, and elastic energy possessed by the walking cane can be effectively utilized when the walking cane separates from the ground surface.
