Abstract:
A voltage dividing capacitor (1) provided in parallel in a vacuum interrupter (2) has a capacitor series (16) constituted of a plurality of capacitor elements (15) connected by a connecting screw in a long, thin cylindrical shape. One end of the capacitor series (16) is supported by a fixed support part (25), and the other end is supported by a movable support part (26) so as to allow expansion and contraction caused by heat. An insulating tube (31) attached to the movable support part (26) is short and is only joined to a first capacitor element (15A). Thus, the center among five capacitor elements (15) is a high electric field site, and the end of the capacitor series (16) has a low electric field; therefore, it is possible to prevent the formation of a triple junction at the high electric field site.
