Title:
VIBRATION ISOLATOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2007/029739
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A vibration isolator in which a restrictive passage for communicating a main liquid chamber and an auxiliary liquid chamber is switched in a short time to either a first restrictive passage or a second restrictive passage according to a variation in a vibration frequency, and whose size is efficiently reduced. In the vibration isolator, when a plunger member (78) is moved by liquid pressure in a pressurized space (130) to a close position against urging force of a coil spring (90), the plunger member (78) closes an orifice opening (74), and when the plunger member (78) is returned to an open position by urging force of the coil spring (90), the plunger member (78) opens the orifice opening (74). Because the orifice opening (74) is formed such that the longitudinal opening width (L) in the axial direction of the isolator is greater than the lateral opening width (W) in the circumferential direction of the isolator, the area of the opening required for the orifice opening (74) is sufficiently secured, the longitudinal opening width (L) is made sufficiently small, and the distance between the open position and close position of the plunger member (78) is reduced.
