Abstract:
The present invention provides a vibration-damping device that has a novel structure and that can realize excellent vibration-damping performance through property control with a simple structure. Provided is a fluid-enclosed-type vibration-damping device 10 in which an inner shaft member 14 and an outer cylinder member 16 are coupled via a main-body rubber elastic body 18, and a plurality of fluid chambers 38, 38, in each of which a fluid is enclosed, are provided apart from each other in the circumferential direction and are made to communicate with each other through an orifice passage 40. The fluid is a magnetic functional fluid, the outer cylinder member 16 is made of a non-magnetic material, a cylindrical cover member 46 is disposed at an outer circumferential side of the outer cylinder member 16 so as to be apart from the outer cylinder member, a magnetic-field generation unit 56 that applies a magnetic field to the magnetic functional fluid is assembled between the outer cylinder member 16 and the cylindrical cover member 46, and a member 68 at one side and a member 70 at the other side that are coupled so as to damp vibrations are attached to the inner shaft member 14 and the cylindrical cover member 46, respectively.
