Abstract:
A vibration damping device (10) is provided with a cylindrical first mounting member (11), a second mounting member (12), an elastic body (13) which connects both the mounting members, and a partition member (16). A part of the wall surface of a first liquid chamber (14) and/or a part of the wall surface of a second liquid chamber (15) comprises the elastic body. The partition member is provided with an intermediate chamber, a first connection passage, and a second connection passage. The axis of a first opening of the first connection passage, the first opening being open toward the inside of the intermediate chamber, and the axis of a second opening of the second connection passage, the second opening being open toward the inside of the intermediate chamber, are offset from each other. The first opening and/or the second opening is open toward a wall surface which defines the intermediate chamber. As a result of this configuration, the product characteristics are ensured, the generation of noise is prevented, the structure is simple, and the vibration damping device is manufactured easily.
