Title:
VIBRATION DAMPER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2006/035886
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To not only effectively attenuate and absorb a primary vibration inputted into a vibration damper along the axial direction but also effectively attenuate and absorb a secondary vibration even if the frequency of the secondary vibration inputted into the vibration damper along a direction roughly orthogonal to the primary vibration while suppressing an increase in the size of the vibration damper. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] In this vibration damper (210), two second pressure receiving liquid chambers (302A) and (302B) are disposed between an outer tube (224) and a mounting metal bar (226) and allowed to communicate with an auxiliary liquid chamber (272) through two second orifices (308A) and (308B). Accordingly, when the secondary vibration along the direction of a secondary amplitude orthogonal to the axial direction is inputted from an engine side into the mounting metal bar (226), a rubber elastic body (222) is elastically deformed along the direction of the secondary amplitude, the internal volumes of the second pressure receiving liquid chambers (302A) and (302B) are increased and reduced, and a liquid communicates between the second pressure receiving liquid chambers (302A) and (302B) and the auxiliary liquid chamber (272) through the second orifices (308A) and (308B). In this case, since a resonance occurs in the liquid communicating between the second pressure receiving liquid chambers (302A) and (302B) and the auxiliary liquid chamber (272) through the second orifices (308A) and (308B) in synchronism with the inputted secondary vibration, particularly a low frequency vibration inputted along the direction of the secondary amplitude can be effectively absorbed by a change in pressure and viscous resistance due to the resonance of the liquid.
