Title:
VEHICLE POWER ASSIST SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/054321
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle power assist system by which rotary driving or regenerative braking of drive wheels or driven wheels is performed and with which it is possible to suppress the generation of heat in a motor generator. This vehicle power assist system comprises a DC power source (10), a motor generator (14), a control device (39) that controls the motor generator (14), and a temperature detection means (15). The motor generator (14) is supported by a vehicle-wheel bearing and generates drive assist force or regenerative braking force, the vehicle-wheel bearing rotatably supporting a vehicle wheel (5). The control device (39) comprises a power conversion circuit (12) that converts DC power from the DC power source (10) to AC power, and a control circuit (13) that controls the power conversion circuit (12). The temperature detection means (15) is positioned radially inward of a brake rotor and a brake caliper and radially outward of a stator of the motor generator (14), and detects the temperature produce by heat generated by the brake rotor, the brake caliper, and the stator. When the detected temperature exceeds a threshold value, the control circuit (13) limits the current flowing from the DC power source (10) to the motor generator (14).
