Abstract:
An on-vehicle monitoring device according to the present disclosure is provided in a vehicle including a side mirror housing, and comprises: an imaging unit (100) which generates image data in response to image capturing; and a control unit (20) which controls the imaging operation and the imaging direction of the imaging unit. The control unit controls, according to the state of the side mirror housing, the imaging direction of the imaging unit, and sets, according to ignition-OFF determination of the vehicle, the imaging operation of the imaging unit into a first power consumption mode. When movement of a surrounding object is detected on the basis of first image data generated in the first power consumption mode, the imaging unit sets the imaging operation into a second power consumption mode which consumes more power as compared to the first power consumption mode.
