Abstract:
This vehicle headlight (1) comprises an image-generating unit (20), a light source unit (12), and a memory (ME) in which an additional light distribution image (36) and a dimming rate distribution (30) are stored. The dimming rate distribution (30) comprises a dimmed part (31) having a dimming rate equal to or higher than a predetermined value, and a blurred part (32) along at least a portion of the edge of the dimmed part (31). The image-generating unit (20) expands or reduces at least a portion of the dimming rate distribution (30) and superimposes the dimming rate distribution (30) over a portion of the additional light distribution image (36) to lower the brightness of the portion of the additional light distribution image (36) while maintaining a state in which the blurred part (32) extends along the edge of the dimmed part (31), so as to generate an image in which light emitted from the light source unit (12) forms an ADB light distribution pattern (PA) in which a dimmed area (91) where the amount of light is reduced by overlapping a predetermined object and a blurred area (92) where the amount of light is reduced along the edge of the dimmed area (91) are formed in an additional light distribution pattern (PAH).
