Abstract:
This vehicle drive device comprises: a transmission mechanism having a rotating electric machine, an input member, and an output member drive-coupled to wheels and capable of changing the transmission gear ratio between the input member and the output member; a friction engagement device interposed between the rotating electric machine and the input member and having a friction engagement element capable of connecting and disconnecting the power transmission between the rotating electric machine and the input member by the supply/elimination of engagement pressure; and a control device for controlling the rotating electric machine and the friction engagement device. When the input member is fixed to be unable to rotate, while performing control so that the engagement pressure becomes an engagement start pressure at which the friction engagement element starts an engagement, the control device performs learning control for learning the engagement start pressure by the change of the driving state of the rotating electric machine when the friction engagement element starts the engagement by driving the rotating electric machine.
