Abstract:
In this vehicle drive device (100), a differential gear device (4) comprises a gear mechanism (41) and a differential case (42) housing the gear mechanism (41). The differential case (42) has a center part (421) which, seen from the radial direction (R), overlaps with a gear support member (41c) of the gear mechanism (41), and a first side part (422) and a second side part (423) arranged to both sides of the center part (421) in the axial direction (L). The first side part (422), the center part (421) and the second side part (423) are continuous with each other and are integrally connected. A shaft member (8) is also provided which comprises an in-case shaft part (8A) arranged inside of the differential case (42), and an out-of-case shaft part (8B) arranged projecting outside of the differential case (42). The shaft member (8) comprises a first oil path (81), and an oil path opening (82) which communicates with the first oil path (81) and which opens inside of the differential case (42).
