Abstract:
A vehicle control device (80) controls a vehicle drive system (90, 91). The vehicle drive system (90, 91) comprises a main machine motor (70), a rotation angle sensor (75), a parking lock mechanism (30), and an actuator (40). A main machine motor control unit (82) has a surface pressure determination unit (822) that determines a meshing state between a parking gear (35) and a parking lever (33) in a parking locked state, and when it is determined that an meshing surface pressure has been generated, performs torque assist control for controlling drive of the main machine motor (70) so as to reduce the meshing surface pressure when the parking lock is released. The surface pressure determination unit (822) determines whether or not the meshing surface pressure has been generated in the parking gear (35) and the parking lever (33) on the basis of a detected value of the rotation angle sensor (75) when a surface pressure checking torque is applied by the main machine motor (70) in the parking locked state.
