Title:
VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/207860
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This vehicle control device (10) is provided with a next gear stage selection unit (16) which, on the basis of drive force characteristics of each of multiple gear stages of a vehicle (V) and travel resistance characteristics corresponding to the next travel segment, selects a next gear stage, which will be the gear stage of the vehicle (V) in the next travel segment, and a shift control unit (17) which controls shifting of the gear stages of the vehicle (V) in the next travel segment on the basis of the next gear stage. If the travel mode of the vehicle (V) is a first mode for travel prioritizing keeping down fuel consumption, then the next gear stage selection unit (16) selects as the next gear stage the gear stage with the highest travelable minimum vehicle speed, which is the minimum speed of the vehicle at which the drive force indicated by the drive force characteristics is greater than or equal to the travel resistance indicated by the travel resistance characteristics, and, if a second travel mode for travel prioritizing improving travel performance, selects as the next gear stage the gear stage that has the highest travelable maximum vehicle speed, which is the maximum speed of the vehicle (V) at which said drive force is greater than or equal to said travel resistance.
