Abstract:
A vehicle control device turns off a clutch and puts a vehicle into a coasting travel state when a prescribed implementation condition is established, and turns on the clutch and cancels the coasting travel state when a prescribed cancel condition is established during coasting travel. The vehicle control device is provided with a deceleration degree calculation means, a determination means, and a travel control means. The deceleration degree calculation means calculates an actual deceleration degree which is the deceleration degree of the vehicle in a vehicle-decelerated state during coasting travel, the determination means determines whether or not the actual deceleration degree calculated by the deceleration degree calculation means is greater than a threshold set on the basis of the deceleration degree of the vehicle while the accelerator is off and clutch is on, and the travel control means cancels coasting travel when the actual deceleration degree is determined to be greater than the threshold, and maintains coasting travel when the actual deceleration degree is determined to be less than the threshold.
