Abstract:
The present invention relates to a variant of (Ruminococcus gnavus strain-derived 7 beta-hydroxysteroid (7-beta-HSDH), improving a conversion rate from 7-keto lithocholic acid (7-keto-LCA) to ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA), and a method for producing ursodeoxycholic acid by using same. In the present invention, the conversion efficiency of 7-Keto-LCA to UDCA has been improved through enzyme modification for development for variant production and recombinant protein production, and thus the present invention is expected to be widely used to improve UDCA biosynthesis and biosynthetic efficiency.
