Abstract:
This variable-capacitance element (1) comprises: a container (2) having a hollow cylindrical shape, the container (2) being such that a gas is sealed in a space part (2e) provided between the outer peripheral surface and the inner peripheral surface of the hollow cylindrical shape; a first electrode (3a) provided on the outer peripheral surface of the hollow cylindrical shape; a second electrode (3b) provided on the inner peripheral surface of the hollow cylindrical shape, the second electrode (3b) facing the first electrode (3a) with the space part (2e) interposed therebetween; and a variable power supply device (4) that adjusts the electric power by which the gas sealed in the space part (2e) is placed in a plasma state, thereby enabling variation of the electrostatic capacity value between the first electrode (3a) and the second electrode (3b).
