Abstract:
A variable by-pass slow-closing check valve device in which a by-pass valve for buffering a reverse flow is adapted to facilitate water drainage and reverse flow volume controlling, and in which a main valve and the by-pass valve are both compact in size and streamlined in construction so as to facilitate design and production and provide high performance and economy. A by-pass valve device portion of the present invention comprises a valve casing (11) comprising in turn a valve seat (12) between an inlet flow path (15) and outlet flow path (16) and a cylinder portion (11c) formed concentrically with the valve seat, a valve disc (13) sealingly and slidably fitted in the cylinder portion (11c) and formed such that an end face on the inlet flow path side closes the valve seat (12) when fluid is caused to flow reversely, a valve stem (14) fitted and secured in the valve disc (13) and connected to a valve operation range restricting device portion at an extended end thereof via a connecting member having an idle movement portion and to a braking device portion for braking the valve closing motion at the other end thereof and communication paths (25; 26) for establishing a communication between a bag chamber (13) formed by being surrounded by the valve disc (13) and the cylinder portion (11c) and the inlet flow path (15) and the outlet flow path (16) via closing portions (25v; 26v), respectively. A main valve device portion is characterized in that a main valve disc (3) thereof is constructed so as not only to keep all the time a working force in a valve closing direction but also to have low configuration and inertial resistances, whereby the valve main disc (3) is almost seated on a main valve seat (2) when fluid flow in a discharging direction loses the inertia and is about to stop when the supply of fluid is halted.
