Abstract:
The application discloses a valve for preventing accidental flow that exceeds the expected limit of the continuous flow, to save fluid and protection against flood damage resulting from accidental flow, without needing electronic sensors or electromechanical devices. The operating concept of the valve is based on the setting, by the valve, of the largest amount of fluid that is expected to flow continuously, and the amount can be reset whenever the user wishes. When the continuous flow reaches this value, the valve gives an advanced warning before closing. If there is no response, the valve is closed electronically shortly thereafter. The valve calculates the quantity of fluid from the beginning of each flow and returns the quantity to zero when the flow is stopped by the user, as long as the flow is less than the maximum set by the valve. The valve comprises an (accessory) warning system for issuing light and sound before it automatically closes shortly thereafter until it is reopened by the user.
